My very good friend is across the world and reads my blog. After reading my post about the Peanut Butter Power Balls she left a super easy recipe for banana oatmeal cookies. Yes, the title says it all about these cookies since it only calls for banana’s and oatmeal. I was a little skeptical at first but she said she liked them so I thought I would give them a try. So very easy to make and they taste great. Well, at least I think so anyway. I did add one thing to the ingredient list, which makes them 3 ingredient Banana Oatmeal Cookies. it’s also great if you have a few bananas laying around the kitchen that really need to be used up.
Banana Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
- 3 bananas mashed
- 1 C quick oats
- Cinnamon to taste
- Optional: chocolate chips, dried cranberries, or whatever else you want to through in there – maybe slivered almonds
Directions:
- Mash bananas and place in a bowl
- Mix in quick oats. Add more oats if it is too runny (depending on size of bananas). Do not let it get too dry though.
- Add about a tsp of cinnamon.
- Add optional items if desired.
- Mix well
- Spoon on to cookie sheet (recommend using parchment paper)
- Back at 350 for about 10 min.
- Makes 12 cookies
They are the best with semi-sweet chocolate chips!
Make them. Enjoy them. Tell me what you think!
If you love this recipe as much as the stats show, you will want to try out Banana Pancakes. Super easy and delicious!
Have any recipes with only 2 – 3 ingredients? I’d love to try them out! Leave me a comment below.
One brown banana + 1/3 cup oats = 4 cookies!
This made for an easy & warm, late-evening snack.
I used your recipe plus coconut, one of my favorite additions to just about anything.
Baked 15 minutes for crispy tops.
Great post!

Thanks Zach!
Mmmm coconut! Sounds good. I will have to try it.
Thanks for sharing your addition to the cookie.
I bet the coconut would be good with some dried pineapple mixed in as well. It would be kind of a tropical cookie that way.
Love that you posted this!
I loved that you gave me such a yummy cookie recipe that I don’t feel guilty eating! 🙂
i dont have oven, is it possible to make this without oven? like non baked cookie thingy?
It might work in a microwave if you have one, but I have not tried so I have no idea. Or if you have a toaster oven you could bake them in that. If you are looking for a recipe that you don’t need a oven did you check out the Peanut Butter Power Balls?
Just made them. Added pecans but didn’t have enough chic chips for whole recipe. I did have some white choc chips and added them to the last six cookies. First batch, delicious a d waiting for the rest to finish cooking.
That’s great! You can pretty much add to it whatever you want. Be creative! Personally I don’t like pecans in baking, but I’m sure they were great. 😉
I made them for my Mom the last time I was home. She loved them… couldn’t stop eating them.
